Us Organization

Overview
 

The Us Organization, or the Organization Us, was a cultural nationalist group formed in September 1965 in Los Angeles and is most well known for creating the holiday Kwanzaa; advocating for black studies, particularly in its Afrocentric approach; and creating a value system known as the Seven Principles.

FOIA Information


The FBI claims to retain no records on Us and did not direct me to any other files. It was only by searching and contacting the National Archives that I was able to locate some relevant files in their possession.
